Bold Developments also looks towards the future. Growth is an inevitable aspect of community life and one that should be undertaken with the greatest sense of responsibility and civic duty. If a new development project is undertaken with an objective view point on product need and functionality within the community then success, financial and otherwise, will follow. While the current state of the economy, particularly in the housing and credit sectors, is not ideal for investment, it is important to recognize that this downfall in the market is in large part to the idea of risk-free development for profit’s sake. Little thought was given to “smart growth” practices or assessing the true viability of product need and function. Growth was driven by artificial market demand and not the needs of community and its residents.

Within Eagle and surrounding counties, Bold is focusing on development for first time home buyers and rental products for residents earning between 120%-140% of average median income. This market is aimed towards the infrastructure service personnel such as nurses, fire fighters, police, teachers, etc. The lack of “work force” housing has been documented extensively and can have serious consequences if not properly addressed. Bold is building public/private partnerships in an effort to service this increasing demand.
